Our history
From Ford T to well-equipped machine factory
Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik A/S was founded in 1921, when Povl Møller left Copenhagen to settle in Borup. He dreamt of opening a factory for the manufacture of agricultural machinery. However, our story started a little differently. In the beginning, car lifts were instead manufactured for garages and spare parts for Ford T.
In 1932, the manufacture of eccentric presses began and accelerated at the end of World War II.
When the switch from grease to oil lubrication came in 1961, the machine factory contacted Vogel, the German manufacturer of central lubrication systems. This was the beginning of a mutual collaboration between Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik A/S and Vogel. Over the years, Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik has become a major supplier of modern lubrication systems for, among other things, the transport sector.
In 1978, Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik acquired Dansk Presse Fabrik A/S, the Danish manufacturer of DPF presses.
To date, approximately 7,000 presses have been produced at Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik A/S.
